CAD
Designer
CAD stands for computer-aided design. All kinds of engineering careers use CAD software to create 2D or 3D designs for buildings, products, product parts and machinery. Good problem-solving skills and an enquiring mind to solve problems. On your own, or in a team CAD Designers are effective collaborators that look at all phases of design and manufacture process. A typical day could include:
- Use 2D or 3D software to produce detailed drawings and models.
- Check drawings meet quality and technical standards.
- Communicate with engineers, designers and project staff.
- Read and interpret engineers’ drawings.
- Mathematical calculations for angles, weights and costs.
- Maintain records and issue design work.
Business Administrator
Effective administrative processes are fundamental for any successful business. This is a broad discipline that includes all aspects of overseeing business operations, ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently on a day-to-day basis.
Through our Business Administration Apprenticeship, you will gain in-depth knowledge and skills to support a range of administrative processes across the business. This may include dealing with customer enquiries, handling timesheets, overseeing document control as well as inputting data into systems and spreadsheets.
Alongside practical experience in the workplace, you will gain theoretical knowledge through attending day release at college and work towards achieving a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration.
