High Speed Chill Room Doors
Speed is important, both of our rapid roll doors feature a counterbalance system with AC inverter drive technology, a smooth start and stop reduces motor gear box wear and tear to provide long term reliability. Speeds are variable up to 1.8m/sec with half speed closing for health and safety purposes.
A fast-acting door is crucial for busy fork lift truck activity and with the correct activation system can cater for many different types of traffic. Our fully trained sales engineers will provide expert advice to ensure the activation method suits all your traffic requirements.
Patented Technology
The twin ply woven polyester curtain fabric is run in a patented edge guide system which can perform in wind speeds of up to 80mph, so there are no complicated wind bar systems to maintain or reduce curtain life. To give additional protection a manometer can be installed to automatically park the door in the open position during dangerously high winds.
Safety
Vision panels improve safety and can be fitted horizontally or vertically. Other safety devices include induction loops, in-line photocells and instant reverse self-checking electric safety edge, and where pedestrian use is required additional safety devices can be specified.
Research & Development
Damage can be an issue so the activation is designed to avoid collision should the door’s bottom bar be impacted. Both Rapide and Swiftsafe designs have damage limitation systems; the Rapide curtain guides hold the tensioned fabric in position but if struck by a wayward truck, are designed to pull out and can then be easily reinserted. The Swiftsafe performs in a similar way but automatically re-sets itself. Both the Rapide and Swiftsafe can be used in a range of temperatures from ambient to 5˚C.
On our latest models our research and development function have developed a wireless radio link from the padded safety edge to the control panel. This eliminates unnecessary wear on mechanical parts thus reducing call outs and down time.
Service
Nationwide service engineers are on hand to deliver fast response should a breakdown occur. Electrically qualified, SAFE Contractor approved, with over £5,000 of parts stock and key access equipment, a first time fix is high on our list of priorities. Planned preventative maintenance programmes can be tailored to suit your door type and usage – 20 plus year old Clark doors still in the field are testament to our commitment to provide long term partnerships with our customers.
Maintenance Contracts
With our bespoke asset management software we are able to offer the option for our customers with planned maintenance contracts to monitor their key performance measures including the real value for money measure in service companies – first time fix rate. Our Service Engineers are able to view the asset history to assist them on diagnosis of faults, giving the customer the opportunity to have a site report sheet waiting at their desk before the engineer has left site.
