Cold Storage Doors
Energy Saving Research
The heavy duty, robust design provides long lasting cold room doors in demanding distribution/storage areas. The food safe designs are hygienic and suited to both low and high risk food preparation areas, and are available in a wide choice of finishes.
Insulation is paramount, Clark Door manufactures cold room doors with panels that have a rigid internal frame, and foamed in place with environmentally friendly urethane giving superior insulation. Panel thicknesses vary to suit temperature differentials crucial to energy saving and the reduction of carbon footprint.
Fire Rated Cold Storage Doors
In the post Grenfell Tower fire world, the construction industry is paying particular attention to the credibility of fire rated products. Clark Door carried out its first UK fire door test in 1983. Since that date we have carried out numerous further fire tests to UK, European and international fire standards, on our full range of sliding and swing doors, up to 2 hour fire rating periods, in accordance with BS EN 1634-1.

Energy Saving Research
As members of the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) for many years, Clark Door has sought to better understand the requirements of the temperature controlled storage industry.
Our continuous research and development program on energy saving methods with WS Atkins, Daresbury Research Centre and our cold store customers enables Clark Door to understand and accurately calculate energy losses and identify for each door type the energy savings and payback periods. The selection of the correct door for the application saves £1000s in electricity costs for our customers and greatly reduces their carbon footprint.
