Clark Door Moves for Mental Health Awareness Week!

During Mental Health Awareness Week (13th to 17th May), the Clark Door team embraced a fundraising challenge to honour the theme of ‘Move for your Mental Health’.

The team took on a challenge of virtually cycling from our Head Office, Factory and Research & Development Centre in Carlisle to several of our key projects throughout the UK. The total target was a challenging 1,012km (629-miles). We are very proud of everyone who got involved and are delighted to share that the team smashed expectations by covering an impressive 1,099.75km (683 miles).

The journey led the team through various significant Clark Door projects, such as the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool, the Wales Millennium Centre, the Library of Birmingham, and the Arnolfini Arts Centre Bristol, culminating at the Alexandra Palace in London.

This achievement showcased the team’s determination, teamwork, and steadfast commitment to supporting two worthy causes – Andy’s Man Club and PAPYRUS. These organisations play a crucial role in mental health and wellbeing, offering essential support and resources to those who need help.

During the challenge, a separate contest was organised due to the surprising competitiveness of the team. The champions – Ethan, Elisha, and Ian – each achieved the fastest times in their specific categories and were awarded a Clark Door Cycling Challenge Trophy to commemorate their strong efforts.

Thank you to everyone who donated and showed the team support during the challenge. We have raised over £600 with donations still welcomed. Clark Door’s aim as always is to keep the conversation going and to continue to support mental health initiatives.
