Clark Door Limited was honoured to receive the King’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2023 award which is bestowed upon UK companies that have demonstrated significant innovation in their business operations, products, or services, contributing positively to their sector and the economy.
This is the second award of this nature for Clark Door, having received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade previously.
The Innovation category is awarded for an outstanding innovation in a new product. Clark Door has been recognised for developing the Clark Multigard® – a security-rated door with acoustic, fire and other high-performance characteristics.
The Clark Multigard® has quickly become the fastest-selling new product in Clark Door’s 50-year history and the advanced door system has already been installed in prestigious venues such as The National Gallery in London, UK Power Generation Projects and SGX Centre in Singapore, demonstrating its superior functionality and broad appeal.
The company welcomed the Lord-Lieutenant for Cumbria, Mr Alexander Scott, joined by his deputy Mr Chris Holmes, (also Sherriff for Cumbria), for the presentation visiting the Clark Research and Development Centre and taking a tour of the factory. The presentation provided a deserved celebration for the Clark Door team in receiving the award.
Andrew Ashley, Managing Director of Clark Door, said “The King’s Award has been great for potential customers who might not know us, in gaining an appreciation of the quality and innovativeness of our products. I am proud of our team for winning this award, it is positive recognition of their capabilities and hard work. It has been a very enjoyable day for us all.”
The Clark Multigard® stands out for its unique combination of high-security features and advanced acoustic performance, making it a versatile solution for venues requiring security and sound control. The King’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2023 acknowledges Clark Door’s continued investment in developing industry-leading products and setting new standards in the sector. As the company looks to the future, it remains committed to delivering innovative solutions that meet the bespoke requirements of its global clientele.
