Clark Door are proud to have won 2 prestigious awards at this year’s in-Cumbria Business Awards; Best Manufacturer and Flying the Flag for Cumbria, a new for 2019 accolade which recognises exporting excellence.
At a glittering ceremony at the Halston in Carlisle, finalists and business leaders gathered to hear who had won the hotly contested 17 award categories.
‘As a company we don’t very often shout about what we do, and we were very surprised and delighted to win not 1 but 2 awards last night.’
‘On the day after the awards I was really pleased to gather everyone together in our factory to present the awards to representatives of the team and to share the good news with everyone. Our staff are passionate about what they do and work extremely hard so it was nice to thank people for their efforts and share in the public recognition from in-Cumbria.’
‘We have some great clients and perform projects all around the globe. We are a committed investor in training our staff and providing opportunities for progression. With the current £3 million investment in the expansion of our business it is an exciting time for our company: our customers, our supply chain and most of all our valued employees.’
Andrew Ashley, Managing Director, Clark Door.
The ceremony was hosted by broadcaster and journalist Cathy Newman, who gave the audience her take on Brexit, and recounted meeting US presidents and how to talk in front of Royalty.
‘It has been a real team effort, with many more people behind the scenes working so hard to put on event that has become the biggest date in Cumbria’s business calendar. While our attentions turn onto 2020, and how we will top this year’s awards, I hope the celebrations continue for some time to come. As a business community we have so much to celebrate.’
Luke Dicicco, Editor of in-Cumbria magazine and group business Editor for Newsquest Cumbria.
